The Pittsburgh Technology Council is pleased to announce an open call for innovative artists, entrepreneurs, companies, team projects and creatives of all types to submit their latest work to be celebrated at CREATE 2017, Pittsburgh’s Annual Creative Industries Festival, brought to you by Comcast, Dollar Bank and the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation.

WHO SHOULD BE PART OF CREATE 2017?
All people working in or to support the Creative Industries. Artists,  gamers, entrepreneurs, makers, app and software developers, roboticists, musicians, designers, museums, advertising agencies, new media educators, students and community event and project directors...and more! All are welcome!

CALL FOR ARTISTS, MUSICIANS + PERFORMERS
$250, $500, $1000 Stipends: Submit Your Proposal by March 1
The CREATE Festival is seeking artists and creatives to perform and show their work at the 2017 CREATE Festival. Stipends are available for interactive/creative activities, installations and art exhibition at the 2017 Innovation Salon, and short performances on the AWC IdeaFest stage, celebrating creativity. Do you know someone (or are you someone) who is doing amazing work in Pittsburgh’s creative community? CREATE 2017 will honor four individual people working in the Creative Industries who are making an impact on the community, blazing new trails and changing lives. Celebrating the innovative companies, projects and teams of the Creative Industries
What great things did you create this year? Showcasing the most innovative works and projects, the CREATE Awards, in its 10th year, has become a foundation in the Creative Industries. All CREATE Awards finalists get national visibility to our network of over 20,000 creatives and the hundreds of attendees of the Innovation Salon and Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival. All winners receive an original work of art by one of CREATE’s Featured Artists of the Year. Show the world the amazing work we are doing in Pittsburgh. Entries due March 1, 2017. Enter now.

EXHIBIT + SELL YOUR WORK
The Innovation Salon’s Creative Marketplace attracts 1,000 visitors each year!
Reserve your spot now for a space at the CREATE Festival Innovation Salon interactive exhibit and marketplace. New this year, the salon’s Creative Marketplace lets makers, artists and creators of all kinds show and sell their wares throughout the full day of the festival. Share your work with the upwards of 1000 visitors to the festival each year! Space is extremely limited; exhibitors will be selected by jury on a first-come-first-served basis, and sells out every year.  Not all applicants will be selected to exhibit. CALL FOR FEATURED PHOTOGRAPHER
Seeking emerging or established photographer to capture the event!
Reserve your spot now for a space at the CREATE Festival Innovation Salon interactive CREATE 2017 is looking for an outgoing, creative photographer to spend the day at the festival and document the days highlights. All photography will be feature on the CREATE 2018 website and Pittsburgh Technology Council websites, TEQ magazine, social media and blogs with photographer credit. Hours would be 1pm-9pm, Thursday, June 1, and includes a complimentary All-Access Pass to the festival. Send your proposal with cost estimate to kchestney@pghtech.org by March 1, 2016.

The 2017 CREATE Festival will kick off opening weekend of the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, and features a full-day line-up of art, tech, workshops, panels, performances, awards and opportunities to engage with the newest trends in creativity and innovation. CREATE is a mashup of networking, interactivity and inspiration, honoring the year’s most innovative art and technology people and projects.
