Submit your latest project, work of art, community event or general creation to be honored as part of the Creative Industries Awards. We celebrate the Best of the Best in 6 Creative Industries categories each year -- show the world the amazing work we do in Pittsburgh!

Who should enter? Any company, organization or individual working in the creative industries. Eligibility: Any work, project, collaboration or creation that demonstrates excellence in creativity and innovation, and that has come to fruition over the past year.

The top ten projects in the six Creative Industries categories will be announced, honored and promoted nationwide beginning in April.

The top project in each category will be announced live at the CREATE! Awards Party on June 7, 2017, along with the People's Choice Award winner.

2018 CREATE! FESTIVAL CALL FOR CREATIVES!
ARTISTS, MUSICIANS, PERFORMERS + INTERACTIVE

Submit a proposal to show or perform your work at the CREATE! Festival on June 7, 2018, as part of the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival

The CREATE Festival is seeking innovative creatives to perform and show their work at the 2018 CREATE! Festival.
All CREATE participants will be promoted to a network of over 20,000 nationwide, and will interact with over 1,000 people at the event.

OPPORTUNITIES

THEME: THE BUSINESS OF CREATIVITY
Lets get serious of the power of creativity to change the world, empower artists, revitalize our neighborhoods and bring people together.

Submit a proposal to apply to be part of this year's festival! We are looking for cool new creativity in all media.

$250: Interactive Art Piece or Activity
Have an idea for a special creative activity at the event? Send us your ideas! We are always looking for fun, new ways to engage the community in the arts and creative industries. Indoor or outdoor opportunities available on the August Wilson Center patio and front walkways.Unfortunately, due to lack of wall space, we cannot display 2D work, unless it can be displayed on an easel.

$250: IdeaFest Performance on the August Wilson Stage
Send us your ideas for a spoken word, dance, poetry or interactive performance based on this year's theme. Audio and screen with BACK projection-only is available for use.

$500: Signature Art Installations in the Innovation Salon
Each year, CREATE! features signature art installations as centerpeices of the event. Send us proposals for innovative works of art to wow festival goers. Works of art + technology are preferred. All work must fit in a 10x10 area in the August Wilson Center ground floor space. All fees, including materials and setup/tear down, must be covered by the stipend.

$500: Featured Musician
Seeking a hip band or DJ for the CREATE! cocktail party prior to the awards ceremony. Must provide sound system.

REQUIREMENTS:
All proposed artwork and ideas must demonstrate high levels of creativity AND innovation. We are looking for people doing and creating new things, and who are embracing creativity to blaze new trails.

Artists are responsible for all materials, setup and tear down activities and costs.

The 2017 CREATE Festival will kick off opening weekend of the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, and features a full-day line-up of art, tech, workshops, panels, performances, awards and opportunities to engage with the newest trends in creativity and innovation. CREATE is a mashup of networking, interactivity and inspiration, honoring the year’s most innovative art and technology people and projects.
